Recognizing our physician heroes

Dear AMA Foundation Friends and Donors,

March 30 was National Doctors’ Day. We deeply appreciate those who were able to celebrate with us last month, as we know that the COVID-19 pandemic caused major interruptions in everyone’s lives. Based on feedback that some people missed the chance to honor extraordinary physicians, we are extending the National Doctors’ Day celebration. We invite you to continue recognizing physician heroes serving patients and communities during this most challenging time, especially those on the frontlines. Many physicians have tragically lost their lives these last two months, and we offer a meaningful way to remember their service.

Please know how grateful we are for your past and continued generosity. Now more than ever, we are resolved to improve the public’s health – especially those among us who are most vulnerable. We hope that you will consider making a donation by clicking here. In appreciation, the AMA Foundation will send a letter informing the honoree, or their family, that a donation has been made in their honor, and can even include a personalized note from you!

On behalf of the AMAF Board of Directors and staff, thank you to those still fighting on the frontlines.

In gratitude,

Sarah. A. Sanders, PharmD, President
Jacqueline A. Bello, MD, President-elect
