If you asked Dr. O’Leary what is his hobby he would say “organized medicine.” He thrived in an environment of politics, organizing and advocating.  His professional pride and joy were the two companies he launched, each named for his daughters. For anyone fortunate enough to meet him, this comes as no surprise. His daughters were his biggest achievement and a staple at the many conferences and meetings he attended, especially the AMA Annual and Interim Meetings.

Dr. O’Leary was a long-time supporter of the Underrepresented in Medicine Scholarship Program with the AMA Foundation. The Paul O’Leary, MD Memorial Fund was established to honor his legacy and continue to support a cause that he was passionate about.
