Mary Beth Ellison
Mary Beth Ellison is a lifelong Ohio resident and a dedicated, long-standing member of the AMA Alliance. She is a former national president and continues to play an active role in the organization. She also served as president of the Ohio State Medical Association Alliance. Her commitment to organized medicine and advocacy has spanned decades, marked by leadership roles and a passion for service.
Before focusing on family and volunteerism, Ellison worked as a certified medical technologist at the Cleveland Clinic and Akron Children’s Hospital. Her deep commitment to community service earned her a reputation as a "volunteer extraordinaire" during her years raising children. She has served on the boards of the North Coast Bernese Mountain Dog Club and Mobile Meals of Summit County and is an active member of the North Coast Hosta Society. A devoted animal advocate, she and her family have rescued Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs and volunteered as puppy raisers for Pilot Dogs in Columbus. Ellison also partnered with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Nash, to provide hospice patient visits.
She is married to Dr. Richard Ellison, an ophthalmologist and member of the AMA house of delegates.
