Jerry Kennett, MD, MACC

Dr. Jerry Kennett is a founding member of Missouri Cardiovascular Specialists. He pioneered the interventional cardiology program at Boone Hospital Center. Dr. Kennett has been actively involved in organized medicine at both the state and national level for more than 40 years. He is past president of the Missouri State Medical Association and former member of the Board of Trustees of the American College of Cardiology. He currently serves as chairman of the AMA Cardiovascular Section Council and served eight years on the AMA Council on Legislation.

 
 

In 2012, Dr. Kennett was awarded the designation of Master of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Kennett served as vice president and chief medical officer at Boone Hospital Center for 5 years. He is now a publicly elected trustee of Boone Hospital where he serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees and also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Boone Health. Dr. Kennett has been very involved in his community in multiple roles including having served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Westminster College for more than 25 years and two of those years as president of the Westminster board and from which he holds an honorary doctorate degree. 

Dr. Kennett continues the full-time practice of cardiology at the Missouri Heart Center in Columbia.
