Thomas Madejski, MD

Dr. Thomas Madejski was elected to the AMA Board of Trustees in June 2020 and has been involved in organized medicine for more than 20 years. A board-certified internist, Dr. Madejski has served as a delegate representing New York in the AMA House of Delegates for the past 15 years.

 
 

In 2015, Dr. Madejski was elected to the AMA Council of Medical Service. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a past president of the Orleans County Medical Society.

Dr. Madejski has served the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) as president, vice president, and treasurer. He also served MSSNY as commissioner of socio-medical economics and as vice chair of MSSNY’s Legislative and Physician Advocacy Committee. In 2019, he was named to the “Health Care Power 50” list by City & State New York magazine, recognizing the most influential health care figures in New York politics.

Dr. Madejski received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy, State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo and his doctor of medicine degree from the School of Medicine, SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, where he also completed his residency. In 1990, he was named a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He holds additional certifications in geriatric medicine and hospice and palliative medicine.
