The AMA Foundation
Disaster
Recovery Fund
When disaster strikes, the AMA Foundation stands ready to support physicians and health care providers on the front lines of crisis response. Our Disaster Recovery Fund provides rapid financial assistance to medical societies and health-related organizations in FEMA-declared disaster zones, helping ensure continuity of care for impacted communities.
Created in response to natural disasters that disrupt access to health care, the fund supports:
Emergency medical supplies and medications
Mobile health stations and emergency aid posts
Rebuilding of physician practices damaged or destroyed in a disaster
We accept applications for relief aid on a rolling basis, based on demonstrated need and available funding. For more information or to inquire about eligibility, please get in touch with us at Allison.Wesel@ama-assn.org
